These Class 3 heavy duty mobility scooters are substantial, road-going scooters - some have all terrain tyres to go over grass and poor ground, ideal for more exciting days out. These have two speed ranges - for pavement use, up to 4 mph, and on the road, 8 mph. One of our large disability scooters even has a capacity of 9.5 mph, although this top speed  must not be used on public roads, where you are limited to 8 mph.

These large disabled scooters are powered by batteries ranging from 40 – 100 amps, come with full suspension, up to 14” wheels front and rear, adjustable comfortable captain’s seats to give a smooth ride, and all have full lights and indicators to comply with road safety requirements.

These road going scooters can also be fitted with a beacon to allow dual carriageway use, and can really almost replace a car as they have a range of up to 35 miles (dependant on conditions). They can be fitted with a variety of canopies for all weather protection.

These scooters will not fit in a normal vehicle as they are too heavy, but some people use a trailer to transport them or ramps can be used in certain vehicles, depending on how able the user is.
